International Symposium on Climate Change and Environmental Health for Vulnerbale Populations in the Asia-Pacific Region

The International Symposium on Climate Change and Environmental Health for Vulnerbale Populations in the Asia-Pacific Region was held on 30-31 May 2017 at the Global Center, Seoul National University College of Medicine, co-hosted by the Centre and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology. Environmental health experts from health experts from the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office and seven countries including Vietnam, Cambodia Thailand, Lao PDR, Mongolia and Fiji were brought together to deliver presentations and discussion on major environmental health issues that each coutries are facing with, which also covered climate change, it health impacts and relevant policy development. In addition, recognizing the need for vigorous and concerted actions for climate change, participants discussed the establishment of a network that can facilitate substantial and practical cooperation among international organizations and each countries
